About Smalt AI
The coworking space
for humans and AI.
Smalt is an AI-driven work platform designed to handle complex analytical and operational tasks end to end. With access to the full professional toolbox, it helps teams research, analyse, create, and execute with speed, accuracy, and full transparency — freeing them to focus on decisions, not process.
How we think about AI at work.
AI should augment human capabilities, not replace human judgement. These principles shape every decision we make about the product.
Human-in-the-loop
AI outputs are recommendations, not directives. Critical decisions stay with you. Nothing high-stakes — especially emails and financial commitments — gets sent without your explicit approval.
Transparency
Every answer traces back to its sources. Tool calls, citations, and reasoning are logged so you can see exactly how work got done.
Your data stays yours
Encrypted in transit and at rest. Never used to train third-party models. Tenant isolation by default. Hosted on AWS infrastructure.
Built on
The stack behind your coworker.
We pick the best tool for each part of the job — starting with the models themselves.
Enterprise infrastructure
Hosted on Amazon Web Services. Encrypted in transit and at rest, with tenant isolation and enterprise-grade reliability baked in.
Claude and Gemini
We use both Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini — the platform routes each task to whichever model is strongest for the job, from deep reasoning to generating visuals.
Parallel by design
Multi-step work runs in parallel, not sequence. Fetching financials for three tickers in half a second instead of seven adds up across a workday.
Co-developed with
Built alongside the teams who use it.
Smalt AI is shaped by working professionals at the firms that set the bar for analytical rigour. Their feedback drives what we build next.
